Our principles

In 1984 Mr Bronek Sutarzewicz summarized the guiding principles that had already shaped the company for 100 years. “The goodwill of customers is the most important thing in any business, hence we always will do anything in our power to support our customers” he said.

In 1995 we stated this philosophy in “Bakkeren Believes & Strives”, our statement of principles for our operations around the world. Today “Bakkeren Believes & Strives” is in the DNA of the people of Bakkeren. It is the essence of us and how we work with others.

“Bakkeren Believes & Strives” explains Bakkeren’s values in relation to the three groups of stakeholders to whom we are responsible and whose trust we have to earn:

  • Customers: We believe in earning the goodwill of our customers and endusers of our products & services.
  • Employees: We believe that the vitality and strength of our company lies in our people.
  • Communities: We believe in contributing to the well-being of the countries and communities where we conduct business.

We safeguard our beliefs by remaining a privately held company. We strive to reinforce our believes by making profits through development and growth, profits that allow us to do more for our stakeholders.
